Here’s a shocker: John Rocker endorses Donald Trump for president
It’s campaign season, so presidential hopefuls are eagerly hoping to snatch up coveted endorsements before the primaries. And Donald Trump, well, he just got endorsed by one of baseball’s most well-known bigots.
John Rocker, the ex-MLB pitcher infamous for his racist rant against New Yorkers, has given Trump his full endorsement. That comes as exactly zero surprise since they’re both professional attention-seekers. They’re a great match, though. Rocker sells “Speak English” T-shirts and Trump wants to ban Muslims.
Speaking to The Daily Caller, Rocker said he “absolutely” endorses Trump for president, compared him to Ronald Reagan and explained:
“I’m probably as disheartened as everyone else is, as Trump supporters seem to be, with the status quo and the glad-handing politicians and the soundbite politicians always looking for the right comment to make and walking that fine line trying to make every single faction out there, who could be a possible voter, don’t make anybody mad and wear kid gloves,” he said.
“I wish someone, excuse the frankness here, would have the sack, would have the backbone to make unpopular comments, and when folks come out — mainly media, special interest groups, factions, things like that — and just start hammering them and demanding apologies… I’ve always wanted to see the person that’s like, ‘Yeah, I’ve made these comments, these are my beliefs, and you know what, if you don’t like it stick it. I’m not apologizing, I’m not changing,” Rocker told TheDC. “I think that is something that millions and millions of Americans have been waiting for probably a decade or two to hear something. Maybe even since Reagan.”
In case you have no idea where Rocker aligns himself politically, he tweeted Tuesday that being a liberal is worse than having stage-4 cancer.
Let’s play a new interactive game on my Twitter feed called: Things Worse Than a Liberal. I’ll start: – stage 4 cancer. Ok, what else?

When last we saw Rocker, he was charging extra for autographs with curse words and pretending to be a different ex-MLB closer on “Survivor,” so it makes sense why he’d align himself with Trump. If Trump can actually get elected, it wouldn’t be surprising if Rocker angled for a cabinet position.
Probably just not UN Ambassador.
