Giant-Alpecin cycling team says Warren Barguil fractured his wrist and John Degenkolb fractured his arm when a car ran into them and four other teammates while training in Spain on Saturday. In a statement released a day after the six were taken to local hospitals, the German team says Barguil ”may require surgery” on his hand, while Degenkolb has received surgery to treat a cut in his upper leg. Giant-Alpecin says American rider Chad Haga was airlifted to a hospital on Saturday and had ”successful” surgery on his neck and chin.
