Pelicans' Gordon has surgery, out 4-6 weeks
New Orleans Pelicans guard Eric Gordon will miss four to six weeks after having surgery to repair his broken right ring finger, the team announced Wednesday.
Gordon injured the finger on his shooting hand during the third quarter of the Pelicans’ 114-99 victory against the Minnesota Timberwolves on Tuesday night.
Gordon scored 11 points, including three 3-pointers, against the Timberwolves. He has averaged 14.9 points and has hit 101 3-pointers this season.
“He brings a lot to the table,” teammate Anthony Davis said after the game. “He’s shooting the ball well, and it’s going to be tough without him, but we’ve still got to find a way to win.”
