Ryder Cup player Jamie Donaldson suffers nasty chainsaw injury
Jamie Donaldson is out of this week’s Abu Dhabi HSBC Golf Championship because of a gruesome chainsaw injury.
The Welshman, who secured the winning point at the 2014 Ryder Cup, shared a picture of the post-incident injury on Twitter. (WARNING: If you get queasy easily, just skip down a little bit.)
Donaldson, who won the Asian Tour’s Thailand Golf Championship in December, becomes just the latest golfer to prove that golfers should never handle chainsaws. Back in September 2014, Greg Norman was hospitalized after suffering a similar injury while using a chainsaw. Norman nearly lost his left hand in the incident.
Luckily, Donaldson’s injury doesn’t appear as serious as what Norman suffered. In fact, Donaldson expects to tee it up at the Omega Dubai Desert Classic in early February.
