The Arizona Cardinals are sitting as touchdown favorites against the Green Bay Packers for their playoff matchup on Saturday night at University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, and the OddsShark Computer doesn’t think they’ll have any trouble covering that spread this week.
The computer has rolled out a predicted score of Arizona 27.9, Green Bay 16.1 for Saturday night’s matchup, which would result in an easy cover for the Cardinals as they punched their ticket to the NFC Championship Game.
And that would actually be an improved result for Aaron Rodgers and company against the Cardinals, as the Packers were thumped by them 38-8 as 6-point road underdogs when the teams met on December 27. Arizona has managed to cover the posted spread in three of its past five games, but lost 36-6 at home against the Seahawks as 6-point chalk last time out.
The Seahawks take the field on Sunday afternoon in an NFC Divisional Round matchup on the road against the Carolina Panthers. The Panthers are hovering around a 2.5-point home favorite against the Seahawks and that will make for a tight result against the spread according to the OddsShark Computer, which has Carolina pulling out a 23.3 to 20.9 victory.
Over in the AFC the OddsShark Computer is projecting an upset, pushing out a final score of Kansas City 21.4, New England 17.6 for their Divisional Round matchup on Saturday afternoon. The Chiefs are riding an 11-game winning streak into Saturday’s contest, but the Patriots are still pegged as 5-point favorites at sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com.
And the final game of the week could be the trickiest to project, thanks to the Pittsburgh Steelers’ injury situation. The Steelers are hoping that Ben Roethlisberger and Antonio Brown will both be able to take the field on Sunday, but they’ve been listed as increasing underdogs against the Denver Broncos since the line opened – hitting Denver -7 by midweek.
The OddsShark Computer has the Broncos winning 26.2 to 18.8 at home on Sunday, which would see them just cover a seven-point spread and head to the AFC Championship Game.
