UTSA hires LSU RB coach Frank Wilson as its new head coach
LSU running backs coach Frank Wilson has been named the new head coach at UT-San Antonio.
Wilson replaces Larry Coker, who resigned earlier this month.
The school will officially announce Wilson in a press conference Friday afternoon.
Wilson spent the last six seasons at LSU and is regarded as one of the nation’s top recruiters.
Prior to his time at LSU, Wilson coached at Tennessee (2009), Southern Miss (2008) and Ole’ Miss (2005-2007).
Coker started UTSA’s program in 2009 and went 22-26 in five seasons with the Roadrunners. They were 3-9 in 2015.
