Own a Chipper Jones, Freddie Freeman snow rescue bobblehead
‘Tis the season for both major league and minor league baseball teams to release their promotional schedule for the upcoming season.
As is the case every year, the promotions are ranging from simple and poignant, such as the Seattle Mariners announcing Ken Griffey Jr. weekend on the heels of his Hall of Fame election, to creative and outright crazy, which brings us to this Atlanta Braves promotion that was confirmed on Wednesday.
Indeed, this one is quite creative.

For those who may not remember this story, it happened just about two years ago when Atlanta was hit with an unusual snowstorm that paralyzed the city.
Among those left stranded was Braves star Freddie Freeman, who was forced to abandon his car after getting stuck in traffic for several hours. Meanwhile, former teammate Chipper Jones was at home pondering taking his four-wheeler out on a few rescue missions. When Jones learned of Freeman’s plight, he donned his camo and took off, eventually bringing Freeman back to safety.
Fortunately for us, the rescue was chronicled by Freeman, Jones and Jones’ wife Taylor, and now it has inspiried the early frontrunner for Bobblehead of the Year.
We’re hoping that last tweet will be a point of emphasis on this bobblehead.

The giveaway is scheduled for May 28 when the Braves host the Miami Marlins. Only the first 20,000 fans will be lucky enough to take one of those bad boys home, so we highly recommend getting those tickets now and figuring out plans to camp out at Turner Field several days in advance. If nothing else, it will be a nice consolation after losing Powerball again.
