NHL owner Aaron Rodgers … if he wins Powerball lottery
Before the Powerball drawing on Wednesday evening, everyone was speculating on how they would spend the $1.5-billion in earnings.
For some of us puck heads, winning meant the possibility of buying into an NHL franchise. Depending on your favorite team, you could buy the whole thing or possibly a piece that’s large enough you’d get your own box with a private bathroom at the arena.
As for Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers, he told reporters if he won he’d, “Buy an NHL team.”
WHAAAA? Aaron Rodgers would be our friend?!
This isn’t the first time Rodgers has talked hockey. On Twitter, he cited the local Green Bay Gamblers as his favorite hockey team and wants to see more mullets back in the game. Perhaps we can set up a meeting between him and Jaromir Jagr if that would help woo him to the ice side.
One team we know Rodgers won’t be investing in anytime soon? The Detroit Red Wings. On the roster is one Brad Richards, who is the ex-boyfriend of Rodgers’s current lady friend, Olivia Munn. Munn dated Richards while on the New York Rangers. Both relationships did not end well for Richards.
