Charlie Blackmon works out in Batman costume, might be a superhero
Every superhero has their own origin story. Those tales usually involve a normal person figuring out they are extraordinary, and coming to terms with their power.
One could argue that Colorado Rockies outfielder Charlie Blackmon has already gone this stage. As a 26-year-old, Blackmon started to recognize his power and potential. Since then, the outfielder has hit .291/.340/.449 over 1,588 plate appearances.

A good origin story is about more than that, though. At some point, the hero takes responsibility and dons a costume. By doing so, they acknowledge that they will use their powers to help others no matter what the risk.
You could argue that Blackmon is already using his powers for good, and wears a costume most days, but he decided to take things to another level Monday.
Yes, Blackmon decided to wear a Batman costume to the gym. As the above video demonstrates, he definitely has the speed, and the leaping ability to keep up with even the most terrifying criminals.
At this point, it’s clear baseball isn’t enough for Blackmon. Maybe he needs an extra adrenaline rush at night once Rockies games are over.
