Justin Verlander’s brother shares photo of them as ‘cool kids’
For the most part, Twitter is a fun experience. It’s like an open chatroom for the entire world that allows everyone to connect and engage on every issue and event, big or small.
By the same token, Twitter can also be an uncomfortable place when people you don’t know start tearing into you over a difference of opinion. And even beyond that, Twitter can be downright scary at times, with the scariest scenario being the moment a friend or family member decides to join. Not only must you watch what you say, you also must hope they don’t share those unflattering photos of you that they most certainly own.

The latter might be considered social media Hell, even for a major star like Detroit Tigers pitcher Justin Verlander. We mentioned him specifically, because Justin’s younger brother Ben, an exceptional baseball talent himself who currently plays in the Tigers minor league system, decided to post this photo of them as children.
They were young. They were cool. All because they were wearing pink sunglasses to the “beach.”
Yeah, we’ll go with that, right Justin?
Let’s all be honest though. Every single one of us has at least one photo like that somewhere. Yes, even Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. Someday we’ll open that box or photo album that preserves it and cringe. Then moments later we’ll smile after we’ve realized no one else has seen it. Then moments after that we’ll scan and share it anyway, because life is too short and too silly to take it that seriously.
Besides that, if we knew as kids in the 80s and early 90s how awesome Dwayne Johnson and Justin Verlander would become, we’d all be wearing be fanny packs and pink sunglasses in every photo. They were uncool when uncool was cool. Now they’re just the best in the world.
