Strongman Mike Trout pushes tractor tire full of weights
Like the rest of us, Mike Trout has seen the videos posted by other major league players showing off their incredible strength and remarkable athleticism.
However, unlike the rest of us, Mike Trout is not impressed.
That’s because none of those others guys were pushing around a 650 pound tractor tire filled with several heavy weights. For strongman Trout, that’s probably just his warm up routine.
Check it out.
That’s how Mike Trout spent his at least a portion of a New Year’s Eve. I can’t speak for the rest of you, but mine was spent watching lopsided college football games, listening to musical acts I’ve never heard of perform in Times Square and making several trips to the refrigerator.
In other words, Trout’s evening was far more productive and a lot more fun. At least to him.
There’s a reason Trout leads the conversation when it comes to baseball’s most talented all-around player. His ability is off the charts, and he matches it with an apparently off-the-charts work ethic. There are no off days during the season, and it appears there are no off days during the offseason either. That’s how you maximize talent, and that’s you finish top two in MVP voting each of your first four full MLB seasons.
Consider these words a hat tip to Trout for putting the work in, and consider this photo telling of his weight training goals for 2016 a warning to the rest of baseball.
Mike Trout is coming back stronger than ever this season. If you stand in his way, he’ll roll right over you and leave the tire tracks to prove it happened.
