Valanciunas returns to Raptors after 17 games out
CHICAGO — Jonas Valanciunas returned to the Toronto Raptors on Monday night after missing 17 games with a broken left hand.
Valanciunas was injured Nov. 20 against the Los Angeles Lakers. In 14 games, Valanciunas averaged 12.7 points and 9.3 rebounds. He leads Toronto with five double-doubles.
Coach Dwane Casey didn’t say whether Valanciunas would return to the starting lineup. He added that Valanciunas would play in “probably short stints” against the Chicago Bulls.
