Florida starting RT Mason Halter to miss Citrus Bowl
against No. 14 Michigan because of an academic suspension.
Florida starting right tackle Mason Halter will miss Friday’s Citrus BowlBackup linebacker Anthony Harrell also has been suspended for academics. Both players are redshirt seniors; their careers are over.
Halter, a graduate transfer from Fordham, started each of Florida’s 13 games this season and played 12 at right tackle. Freshman Fred Johnson, who has one career start, is the likely replacement.
Harrell played in every game this season, mostly on special teams, and recorded three tackles.
