Who will win, Eagles or Washington Redskins? Predictions from ESPN, Sports … – NJ.com
Is this the end?
It could be for the Eagles, as they will play for their season Saturday night at Lincoln Financial Field against the Washington Redskins.
Win, and they can clinch the NFC East next Sunday against the New York Giants.
Lose, and that is it — their playoff hopes are gone, and the Redskins will celebrate a division title.
Standing in the Eagles was is a red-hot Redskins team, that has won three of their past four games, and beat the Eagles all the way back in Week 4.
Can the Eagles extend their season, cool off the Redskins and play for the division next Sunday?
Here are some predictions for the big game:
NJ.com:
Eliot Shorr-Parks: This is the kind of game where having a franchise quarterback would come in handy. Both the Eagles and the Redskins are hoping they found one, but Saturday night will go a long way in convincing each team that they can check off the box next to quarterback. The good news for the Eagles is that Sam Bradford had his best game of the season against the Redskins, throwing three touchdowns and no interceptions. For one game, at home, I’ll take Bradford over Kirk Cousins. Eagles 24, Redskins 20
Mark Eckel: In a season that has twists and turns and all kinds of subplots it won’t come to a quiet ending with the Washington Redskins clinching the division title a week early. It’s not how this script has been written. No, there’s more to come, like a week 17 game between the Eagles and Giants coupled with one between the Redskins and Cowboys as well. However, for that to happen the Eagles have to beat the Redskins, Saturday night. They will. Eagles 20, Redskins 17.
ESPN: Of the 13 experts polled, nine picked the Redskins. Ron Jaworski and Chris Mortensen both picked the Eagles.

Now that my grand vision of how the NFC East would play out, which I laid out before Week 14 unfolded, has gone off the rails with that Arizona rout of Philadelphia last Sunday night, you’d think I’d be down on the Eagles and riding Washington’s wholly unexpected title-bound train. Except I still think Chip Kelly’s club somehow comes out of this debacle of a division with a so-ugly-it’s-beautiful 8–8 record and a little display of champagne spraying in the locker room in Week 17. I love the Kirk Cousins story this season, and his league-best 69.7 completion percentage and team-record six 300-yard passing games are proof that quarterbacking talent is in the eye of the beholder come draft time. But Washington’s 1–5 road record is still the key to how this story ends, and at Philadelphia and at Dallas in the final two weeks spells trouble for Jay Gruden’s guys. Eagles 24, Redskins 20
ECKEL: 5 things for Eagles to worry about
CBS Sports: (via Pete Prisco)
If the Redskins win, they lock up the NFC East. If the Eagles win, they would need to just beat the Giants the next week to win the division. With all of that on the line, I think Kirk Cousins will continue his hot streak and find a way to beat the Eagles. The Redskins take it. Redskins 24, Eagles 20

We’ve said for a few weeks now the Eagles’ season would come down to the final two games, and that’s where we are — with or without the $42M running back playing. Subscribe to the podcast on iTunes or Stitcher.
