Glenn Robinson III surprises his mom with a brand new car (Video)
Glenn Robinson III is living the dream. A native of Indiana, he’s playing as a rotation worker on his state’s NBA team, the Pacers, and though the Pacers are kicking some early season tail at 16-12 right now, they remain a little under the radar.

As such, the Pacers won’t have to play any Christmas Day games on Friday, which allowed Robinson to spend time at home with his family. The 21-year seemed to make the most of it:
Nice. A brand new Mercedes for his mother Shantelle, who delivered Glenn when she was 18 as a Purdue University freshman. Glenn (who is the son of former Purdue and Milwaukee Bucks star Glenn Robinson) was born premature and had to spend the first few weeks of his life in an incubator, but he’s grown to become a well-regarded hybrid guard and NBA pro.
And, as we can see, a pretty highly regarded son.
December is filled with scores of ads for new luxury cars, usually wrapped in giant red bows, being gifted from one actor/model to another actor/model amongst heaps of fake snow on a soundstage in August. Those tend to enervate at best, and aggravate at worst.
This, on an unseasonably warm Indiana Christmas Eve – warm enough to play driveway basketball in – is fantastic. BDL sends all the red bows to Glenn and his mother Shantelle this holiday.
