Jaromir Jagr cut by Alex Chiasson high stick, drops to ice in pool of blood (Video)
In the first period of the Florida Panthers game against the Ottawa Senators on Tuesday, 43-year-old forward Jaromir Jagr took a stick to the face and dropped to the ice in a small pool of blood.
Jagr was going for a loose puck in front of the Ottawa Senators net and was clipped by Ottawa forward Alex Chiasson. The 43-year-old Jagr, who scored his 732nd goal Sunday, fell to the ice. After he got up, he tapped Chiasson on the helmet.
The legendary Jagr quickly came back to the cheers of fans at Florida’s BB&T Center.
Jagr leads the Panthers with 24 points in 31 games played. His 732nd score moved him into fourth place on the NHL’s all-time scoring list. Florida has won 10 of their last 13 games played and are just three points behind the Montreal Canadiens for first place in the Atlantic Division. Jagr turns 44 on Feb. 15, 2016.
