Top 5 Must-See Plays from Week 15 in the NFL (Video)
Did you miss any of the Week 15 action in the NFL? We’ve got you covered. Here are five plays you need to check out.
Rivers INT, Rivers recovery
This might be one of the stranger plays we’ve seen (above). It certainly looked odd on the NFL’s gamebook:
(13:39) (Shotgun) P.Rivers pass deep middle intended for D.Inman INTERCEPTED by R.Jones (Br.McCain) at MIA 7. R.Jones to MIA 49 for 42 yards (O.Franklin). FUMBLES (O.Franklin), RECOVERED by SD-P.Rivers at SD 38.
That’s right: Philip Rivers was intercepted by the Miami Dolphins’ Reshad Jones at the Miami 7-yard line. Jones then returned the ball 42 yards, where it was punched loose by Orlando Franklin. After caroming back 13 yards, it ended up back in the hands of — yep — Rivers. So strange.
Can you Diggs this play?
After a scorching middle portion of the season, Minnesota Vikings rookie receiver Stefon Diggs has been a bit quiet of late. His force has awakened. Check out this catch and run from Diggs as he carves his way through the defense of the Chicago Bears.
Nice tackling, Patriots
The Tennessee Titans were outmatched against the New England Patriots, but Delanie Walker had one of the plays of the day. Watch as he breaks one tackle and then speeds down the sideline as the Patriots appear to be stuck in mud and/or unwilling to tackle him.
Griff Whalen again?!
It has been a tough season for Griff Whalen. And yes, people know his name following his incredible fake punt botch against the New England Patriots earlier this season. Which makes Sunday’s mistake all the more worse. Watch as he gets stripped of the ball, making it only less awful by making a decent tackle on Kareem Jackson to possibly save a touchdown.
Action Jackson
Washington Redskins, alone in first place? Stranger than fiction. And yes, they’re there without major contributions this season from DeSean Jackson all year, although he made a crucial play in Sunday’s blowout of the Buffalo Bills. Watch as he explodes past a few would-be tacklers and scores a terrific touchdown.
