Paul Molitor leads chorus in Twins version of ‘Carol of the Bells’
It’s the holiday season and teams all over MLB are getting into the spirit.
That would include the Minnesota Twins, who perhaps showed off the most holiday cheer, in addition to a considerable amount of creativity, by releasing their own version of “Carol of the Bells” this week.

The video features manager Paul Molitor leading the Angelica Cantanti Youth Choirs in the performance. The young men and women proceed to wow us with their talents and surprise us with lyrics all designed to fire up Twins fans for the upcoming season.
It worked, right? You might not be a Twins fan, but you can’t help but look forward to their season or at least the MLB season after watching that.
Granted, Twins fans already had good reason to be excited. In 2015, their team emerged from a four-year rebuild to contend for a postseason spot right up until the final weekend of the season. Minnesota moves forward now with an interesting mix of veteran talent, including Joe Mauer and Brian Dozier, along with young superstars in Byron Buxton and Miguel Sano, all of which are worth singing about.

In the case of Buxton and Sano, “ding, gone, ding, gone” could be playing on repeat for the next decade at Target Field. With those two supreme talents on board, a return to the postseason seems inevitable, even in the ultra-competitive AL Central.
True, there’s still plenty of work to be done in finalizing the 2016 roster. But Twins fans can take the time now to singalong with the chorus and get ready, because the future is now in Minnesota and the future looks and sounds pretty good.
