The OddsShark Computer is expecting a big week for underdogs in Week 15.
This marks the first of two consecutive weeks with a Saturday NFL game. The Dallas Cowboys are a field goal home underdog against the New York Jets at sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com. The Cowboys are 1-6 against the spread in their last seven home games, and are 2-7 ATS in nine games without Tony Romo this season. The OddsShark Computer predicts the Cowboys securing the slim cover in a 22.2-19.4 loss to the Jets.
The week features two double-digit spreads. The New England Patriots, a co-favorite on the latest Super Bowl betting lines, are a 14-point favorite at home against the Tennessee Titans. The Patriots are 2-0 ATS as a double-digit favorite in 2015, but the computer has them just failing to cover in a 29.5-16.5 victory.
The Seattle Seahawks are a 14.5-point favorite at home against the Cleveland Browns. The Seahawks are 3-1-1 ATS as a double-digit favorite the last two seasons, and the computer has them continuing that trend with a 38-8.5 thumping of the Browns.
The most notable game of the week has the Pittsburgh Steelers installed as a 6.5-point favorite at home against the Denver Broncos. The Broncos are 4-1 ATS in the last five games between these two teams according to the OddsShark NFL Database and 4-2 ATS in the last six games at Pittsburgh. The computer predicts the Steelers cover with a 27.2-18.6 victory.
The biggest outright win features the Chicago Bears, who are a 5.5-point underdog against the Minnesota Vikings. The Bears are 4-2 SU and 5-1 ATS on the road this season, and the computer predicts they continue that trend with a 24-20.8 road victory.
The Indianapolis Colts host the Houston Texans, with both quarterback situations in limbo. Most sportsbooks have waited to put out a line, with a couple offering the Colts as one-point or two-point favorites. The computer thinks the Texans can cover even with T.J. Yates at quarterback, predicting a 20.8-19.3 outright win for Houston.
The week wraps up with the New Orleans Saints hosting the Detroit Lions as a field goal favorite on Monday Night Football. The Lions have lost five straight against the spread when facing the Saints, but the OddsShark Computer predicts the Lions securing an outright win by a final score of 25.2-24.7.
