VAL D’ISERE, France (AP) — Lindsey Vonn posted the fastest time in the downhill leg of a World Cup super-combined, putting her in the lead ahead of the slalom later Friday. Swiss skier Lara Gut was .38 seconds behind and Cornelia Huetter of Austria was third fastest, .88 behind Vonn. Although Vonn, who was also fastest ahead of Gut in Thursday’s training run, has won two slalom races, it is not her favorite discipline.
