Sean Doolittle dressed up as a Wookiee to see ‘Star Wars’
The force was strong with Oakland Athletics closer Thursday night. Like many of us, the 29-year-old had tickets to see “Star Wars: The Force Awakens.” To celebrate the occasion, Doolittle got dressed up in a spiffy new outfit: He went as a Wookiee.
That’s Doolittle and his girlfriend, Eireann Dolan. He is doing his best Chewbacca impression, and she is dressed as Darth Vader. We have to say, Wookiee was the right way to go here, especially with that beard. Perfect.

It should be noted that Doolittle may have been too excited about the whole thing, though.
So, yeah, Doolittle made sure the whole group got involved in the event whether they liked it or not. We can’t say we blame him, though. Some of us at The Stew also saw “Star Wars” on Thursday. Did we dress up? We’ll never tell.
It’s pretty clear that Doolittle is a passionate “Star Wars” fan. A few weeks ago, he did a lengthy interview with FoxSports about the subject. Given that, and the fact that he dressed up, it would have been a shame if he wound up hating the movie.
Thankfully, the wasn’t the case.
That’s to be expected, of course. C’mon, you knew Doolittle was going to enjoy the film. Dolan, however, has yet to tweet out a review. Based on her initial reaction to the Darth Vader pajamas, that’s the opinion we want to hear. Is she now one with the force? Or does she believe it’s all just “simple tricks and nonsense?”
