Stephen Curry, wife Ayesha, Drake hit In-n-Out after Warriors win
What’s the best possible way to celebrate scoring an easy breezy 25 points to help your team get back on track after suffering your first loss of the season? Why, going out with your wife and friend for a nice, quiet bite to eat, of course. That seems exceedingly normal, right?
And yet, when the “you” is Golden State Warriors supernova Stephen Curry, the “friend” is international music megastar Drake (who was sitting courtside at Oracle Arena on Wednesday, one night after sitting courtside in Sacramento), and the “bite to eat” comes at venerable West Coast fast-food establishment In-n-Out Burger, it’s a bit less normal and bit more “oh my God, oh my God”-inducing:

After Curry and Splash Brother Klay Thompson incinerated the Phoenix Suns in a 128-103 win that saw Thompson drop a season-high 43 points, including 27 in a third quarter in which the Dubs hung an NBA-season-best 46 points on Phoenix, Steph, wife Ayesha, and their pal Aubrey headed out to the Alameda, Calif., In-n-Out spot for some post-game grub. We’re not sure it’s necessarily what the Warriors’ staff would recommend as an optimal option for refueling, but hey, sometimes taste trumps training.
This is just the latest of many Drizzy/Steph crossovers, from Drake name-dropping Steph in “0 to 100,” which Curry would later repurpose in an advertisement for a private coaching service he endorses, and which also led to a fun cooking-video goof by the Currys that went viral:
… to Queen of 2015 Riley Curry singing part of Drake’s hook on Big Sean’s “Blessings” during her second post-playoff game press conference appearance:
… to Steph doing a Drake-themed social-media impersonations, and joining his Warriors teammates dancing to the Drake/Future collaboration “Big Rings” after receiving their 2014-15 NBA championship rings:
… to unofficial collaborations like Steph-and-the-Dubs-themed remixes of Drake’s “Back to Back,” and the wide range of emotions that Drake felt while watching Curry and the Warriors take out his beloved Toronto Raptors (the team for whom, lest we forget, Drake serves as an official ambassador) earlier this month:
Always hurts to see the home team take a L. But this guy is the definition of class and talent and deserves everything right now!
Including, it seems, a late-night trip to scoop up a Double-Double, Animal Style. What a time to be alive.
