LeBron bowls over wife of golfer Day in stands
CLEVELAND — Ellie Harvey, the wife of PGA Tour player Jason Day, had to be placed on a stretcher and wheeled away from her courtside seat at Thursday’s Cleveland Cavaliers–Oklahoma City Thunder game after LeBron James inadvertently crashed into her late in the fourth quarter.
Harvey, a native of nearby Lucas, Ohio, has attended several Cavs games in the last two seasons with her husband including a preseason game in October when J.R. Smith memorably purchased cotton candy from his seat on the bench during game action to share with the Days’ son, Dash.
Harvey was conscious and talking before being taken to the hospital.
