Iman Shumpert delivered his daughter with his bare hands
Iman Shumpert delivered his and his fiancée’s baby on Wednesday morning in the bathroom of their house, using a pair of headphones to steady the umbilical cord until paramedics could arrive to attend to the newborn.
You heard me.

From his fiancée’s Instragram account, kindly welcome Iman Tayla Shumpert Jr. to the world, with an assist from the Cleveland Cavaliers guard:
Shumpert’s fiancée, singer Teyena Taylor, was originally due to deliver in mid-January, which is why the couple was understandably un-prepared for the early delivery. Shumpert’s quick thinking and headphones work comes on the heels of him having to leave his last game to a groin injury (he is not going to play against Oklahoma City on Thursday night, for that and other obvious reasons), and after having missed three months of action due to wrist surgery.
In 38 minutes of healthy play this year, he has registered just one assist – substandard for a shooting guard.
His work in that area off the court is exceptional for a new father, though. All the best to the new parents. Nicely done, Iman Sr.
