Before Week 14 of the 2015 NFL season schedule kicks off, I thought we would have some fun by taking a look at the spreads for this week’s round of games. (Click here for NFL Week 14 picks without regard to the spread.)

Here are my suggestions when trying to beat the odds. You can find all of today’s NFL betting lines and more at the SB Nation odds page via OddsShark. My record so far this season is 78-91-5 after going 7-8 last week. I haven’t been great lately, but I haven’t been too awful. So there’s that.

2015 NFL WEEK 14 PICKS AGAINST THE SPREAD

Seattle Seahawks (-5) at Baltimore Ravens: It’s surprising to see the Seahawks aren’t favored by more. They may be on the road, and west coast teams don’t always look so hot in early games on the east coast like this, but this is Matt Schaub versus Seattle’s defense we’re talking about here. There’s potential for multiple pick-sixes. Not to mention the fact that the Seahawks have been excelling on offense lately. Pick: Seahawks -5

Tennessee Titans at New York Jets (-7): The Jets have only lost two games at home this season. It’s not easy to bet against former Eagles quarterback Marcus Mariota but I have to do it here. Pick: Jets -7

New Orleans Saints at Tampa Bay Buccaneers (-4): The Saints put up a serious fight against Carolina last week, but their defense is still awful. And they’ll be on the road this week against a Buccaneers team that has been playing well. Pick: Buccaneers -4

Atlanta Falcons at Carolina Panthers (-7): Streaks are made to be broken. The Falcons haven’t been able to win in forever and the Panthers haven’t lost in forever. Is this the week those streaks come to an end? With Atlanta being on the road, I’ll say no, probably not. Pick: Panthers -7

San Diego Chargers at Kansas City Chiefs (-10): The Chiefs have been red hot, but I’m going to say that this is a classic Andy Reid letdown game. Philip Rivers will have a strong showing in Kansas City. Even if the Bolts don’t win, they’ll find a way to make it close. Pick: Chargers +10

Buffalo Bills (-1) at Philadelphia Eagles: Chip Kelly’s Eagles pulled off an impressive win against the Patriots last week, but the Birds aren’t too far removed from those awful performances in Week 11 and Week 12. Philadelphia’s lackluster offense is still a concern. LeSean McCoy will be looking for revenge on Sunday and he just might find it. Pick: Bills -1

San Francisco 49ers at Cleveland Browns (-1.5): This might be the worst tweet I’ve ever seen in my entire life:

There’s no way the 49ers can win now. Pick: Browns -1.5

Detroit Lions (-3) at St. Louis Rams: Nick Foles isn’t playing so the Rams might actually have a chance. Just kidding, the Rams are still pretty bad. Detroit, meanwhile, has looked better in recent weeks. Pick: Lions -3

Washington Redskins at Chicago Bears (-3.5): After losing to the 49ers, the Bears don’t seem like a great pick. Then again, Washington is 0-5 on the road this season and 1-12 in the past two years. Suddenly Chicago seems like the best option. Pick: Bears -3.5

Pittsburgh Steelers at Cincinnati Bengals (-3): The game is in Cincinnati, so I want to lean towards the Bengals, but on second thought I’m not sure Pittsburgh will get swept this season. So I’ll take the points. Pick: Steelers +3

Indianapolis Colts at Jacksonville Jaguars (-0): This game is a pick ’em. I don’t have a lot of faith in Gus Bradley. I think Matt Hasselbeck will be able to rebound after last week’s showing and the Colts will hold on to their lead in the AFC South. Pick: Colts

Oakland Raiders at Denver Broncos (-7): Oakland hasn’t been very inspiring lately. The Broncos, meanwhile, look solid with Brock Osweiler leading the way. Denver’s defense is just too good. Pick: Broncos -7

Dallas Cowboys at Green Bay Packers (-7): The Dallas Cowboys are just one game out of the NFC East lead! But they won’t be after Aaron Rodgers smokes them on Sunday. Pick: Packers -7

New England Patriots (-4) at Houston Texans: Tom Brady isn’t about to lose three games in a row, especially if he gets some of his offensive weapons back. Pick: Patriots -4

New York Giants (-1.5) at Miami Dolphins: What an unexciting Monday Night Football matchup. A game between two bad/mediocre teams from different conferences. There’s nothing about the Dolphins that can make me entice me to pick them so I’ll say the G-Men get the win. Pick: Giants -1.5
