Army wearing helmets for different branch divisions vs. Navy
Army will also be wearing different styles of helmets during Saturday’s Army-Navy game.
The school revealed the helmets Saturday morning. The helmets will represent branch divisions and will be different per position group.
Here’s a breakdown of the position groups and divisions.
• Quarterbacks – 3rd Infantry Division
• Fullbacks – 4th Infantry Division
• Running Backs – 25th Infantry Division
• Tight Ends – 7th Infantry Division
• Offensive Line – 1st Armored Division
• Wide Receivers – 82nd Airborne Division
• Defensive Line – 1st Calvary Division
• Linebackers – 10th Mountain Division
• Cornerbacks – 2nd Infantry Division
• Safeties – 101st Airborne Division
• Special Teams – 1st Infantry Divison
Certain players will also be wearing patches on their uniforms for infantry divisions.
Navy previously announced that it would be wearing special position-group themed helmets for the game, which has been won by the Midshipmen 13-straight times. If it’s one-sided again for Navy on Saturday, we’ll at least be able to watch some awesome helmets.
