Former FSU QB De’Andre Johnson sentenced to 10-day work camp
Former Florida State quarterback De’Andre Johnson reached a plea deal in his misdemeanor battery case stemming from an incident where he struck a woman in a nightclub.
Johnson will participate in a 10-day sheriff’s work program and serve six months probation. He’s also been ordered to pay $1,000 in court fees and restitution.
It is unclear where Johnson will serve his work program. Johnson, who enrolled in East Mississippi Community College, wanted to complete the program in Mississippi. Florida state attorney Willie Meggs wanted the work program completed in Florida. There will be a hearing in August to decide.
Johnson was dismissed from Florida State after video of the altercation surfaced. He did not play football at East Mississippi Community College.
