Wizards' Wall injures knee in loss, awaits MRI
Star guard John Wall left the Washington Wizards‘ loss on Sunday night late in the fourth quarter with a knee injury.
Wall exited the 116-104 loss to the visiting Dallas Mavericks with 1:14 to play after running into Dallas’ Jeremy Evans. He will get an MRI on the right knee.
Wall said he wasn’t sure of the extent of the injury but hoped to be OK to play at Miami on Monday.
“I have no idea right now,” Wall said. “I just did an X-ray and did not look at it. I just left.”
Wall led the Wizards (8-10) with 28 points. He is averaging 18.4 points and 8.0 assists.
