Kyle Turris gets tangled up and injured against Islanders (Video)
Ottawa Senators forward Kyle Turris suffered an injury after his legs got tangled up with New York Islanders forward Casey Cizikas.
The play came in the third period of Ottawa’s 3-2 overtime win over the Islanders. A video of the play is above.
The Senators’ PR staff said Turris didn’t suffer a break and X-Rays were negative.
Ottawa coach Dave Cameron said there was no update on Turris.
Senators defenseman Erik Karlsson fired the overtime winner as Ottawa moved to 14-7-5 on the season. Turris ranks fifth on the Senators with 22 points in 26 games played and has been a major part of the Sens’ offense, which ranks fourth in the NHL at 3.16 goals per-game.
Last season, Turris had 64 points and 22 goals in 82 games.
