NFL picks against the spread: Week 13 – Revenge of the Birds
Looking for betting advice. We have it here.
Week 13 has some good divisional battles. It is the time of year when those are the games that dominate the schedule. They also tend to make picking against the spread a little more difficult, as the teams know each other well and often have already faced one another.
But I am back with my weekly picks like every Saturday. I was a tepid 9-7 ATS last week, although I started picking seven of the first eight games right. The afternoon, evening and Monday night killed me. I now am 90-83-4 overall, pulling away a little more from the .500 mark.
Here are my Week 13 picks:
Texans at Bills (-3): The Texans are underdogs despite winning their last four games. The Bills? I consider them a question mark. Texans +3.
49ers at Bears (-7): The Niners did manage to cover against the Cardinals last week, but that was a revenge game and at home. The Bears are playing well right now and coming off a very nice win against the Packers on Thanksgiving. They continue to improve. Bears -7.
Bengals (-7) at Browns: No Josh McCown. The Bengals got back on track against the Rams. Same type of team, same type of result. Bengals -7
Jaguars at Titans (-2.5): The Titans have lost 11 straight at home. The Jags aren’t playing badly. Jags +2.5.
Cardinals (-5.5) at Rams: This is a revenge game for Arizona. They don’t want to be swept by a team . Cardinals -5.5
Ravens at Dolphins (-4): Can you trust Matt Schaub? I don’t. Dolphins -4
Seahawks at Minnesota (pick’em): Tough one. Seattle is strong again, but they are giving up points. Is the Minnesota offense enough? With Adrian Peterson, yes. Vikings +4.
Giants at Jets (-2): Well, they share the stadium, so it isn’t like other game. The Giants need this game more. Giants +2.
Falcons at Buccaneers (-2): Atlanta is not that good on the road against division rivals. Bucs -2.
Chiefs (-3) at Raiders: I can’t explain it, but I am on the Chiefs train. They are playing as well as anyone in the league. Chiefs -3.
Broncos (-4) at Chargers: The Chargers have been awful, but Philip Rivers is 11-6-2 ATS when facing the Broncos. But do we trust Brock Osweiler? Against the Chargers? Yes. Broncos -4.
Eagles at Patriots (-10): No need to ask. I never bet against Tom Brady, especially at home. And Philly has given up 45 in consecutive weeks. Pats -10.
Colts at Steelers (-10): Why is this line so big? The Colts are playing very well with Matt Hasselbeck. I don’t expect the Colts to win, but I see a tight game.
Cowboys at Redskins (-4): This is a game of bad trends. Kirk Cousins cannot be counted on to play well two games in a row. The Cowboys are just terrible without Tony Romo. Don’t bet this game, but I would only be the Redskins if I were forced to pick one. Skins -4.
