NHL Three Stars: Hoffman and Karlsson outpace streaking Kane
No. 1 Star: Mike Hoffman, Ottawa Senators
The young forward showed off his scoring touch in a 4-3 overtime win over the Chicago Blackhawks. Hoffman netted his 12th and 13th scores of the season, and also added an assist. He fired the game winner to help Ottawa break a two-game losing skid.
No. 2 Star: Erik Karlsson, Ottawa Senators
The defenseman continued his superb offensive play, notching three assists in the win over the Blackhawks. Karlsson has been an offensive dynamo this year, leading defensemen with 29 points in 25 games played.
No. 3 Star: Patrick Kane, Chicago Blackhawks
Kane built on his torrid start to the season by extending his point streak to 21 games. He scored one goal and added two assists against the Senators. The 21-game stretch equaled Bobby Hull for the most consecutive games with a point by a Chicago Blackhawks player in the regular season.
