Young Marcus Stroman won a prize on a ’90s Nickelodeon game show
Celebrities, they are just like us! OK, fine, few of us have anything in common with Toronto Blue Jays pitcher Marcus Stroman. We aren’t professional baseball players, we can’t throw a ball 90 mph and we haven’t come back from ACL surgery to dominate in hitters in less than a year.
That said, some of us watched Nickelodeon growing up, so maybe we are just like Stroman! As a kid, Stroman attended a taping of the Nickelodeon game show “Figure It Out.” He was selected as the “lucky studio audience member” and happened to win a prize while watching the show.

Because the internet exists, there is so excellent footage of said appearance: (skip to the 3:58 mark to see Stroman for the first time)
There’s young Stroman with what looks like a cameo appearance by his father Earl’s bicep. We would recognize those biceps anywhere.
If you continued to watch the video, you know that Stroman won the prize! He appears again at the 7:45 mark, where he’s given a $100 gift certificate to Toys R Us. We’re guessing he bought every single Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle action figure with that money.

All this footage does is pretty much confirm that Marcus Stroman is the coolest dude on the planet. We’re already envious of what he can do on a field, but now we find out we had reason to be jealous of him as a child! We want Marcus Stroman to be our best friend, is what we’re saying.
