Hello everyone. We’re back at it this week here at Rotoworld and we’re preparing for another week of Daily Fantasy Soccer. The sports books were spot on last week by labeling Willy Caballero as the best play at the goalkeeper position and I hope you guys went with the obvious play. In attack, things weren’t as easy as Sergio Aguero wasn’t very good but the recommended cheap play – Wickham, was excellent. This week there are a number of one-sided matches, so let’s dive in and look at some value plays.
Goalkeepers
DraftKings
There are a number of goalkeepers with great chances of a win-to-win this week. Petr Cech leads all of them as he gets to face Sunderland, and despite the high price, he holds good value. I wouldn’t necesarilly dive all in on him due to there being almost-as-good options for a bit cheaper, but he’s definitely worthy of consideration. Southampton’s Stekelenburg is the next best option as he gets Aston Villa at home. Villa have found some goals lately and Jordan Ayew has played well, but Southampton are the better team and play at home. Stekelenburg is safe. David De Gea is always an option as he anchors the best defense in the Premier League and he gets West Ham at home. The value there is really good. Begovic, Lloris, and Gomes(if he starts, questionable with injury), can be considered.
MondoGoal
Cech is by far the best value here on MondoGoal, where you can safely ignore David de Gea. De Gea is just way too expensive with all the other options out there. Stekelenburg’s price makes him the best option here, while Begovic is also very reasonably priced, but I wouldn’t overthink this decision as Cech and Stekelenburg are easy targets in cash games. In GPPs, feel free to diversity as always.
Scorers
DraftKings
Olivier Giroud stands out as much as Petr Cech, if not more. He’s slated to start again this week and if Alexis Sanchez is out as expected, Giroud will carry a bigger offensive load. A lot of Arsenal players will be viable targets as a number of their starters are out injured. Other good targets in this slate are Graziano Pelle and Diego Costa. Pelle missed Southampton’s last match due to a suspension but will be back this week and should be rested and ready to go. Diego Costa was left on the bench last week but if he starts, the sports books like him to score in a good matchup. He’s a risky play and should only be considered for GPPs.
MondoGoal
The forward situation is very similar on MondoGoal. Here, Manchester United’s Martial is also in play. Also worth noting that Jamie Vardy and Harry Kane are worth a shot in GPPs in both DraftKings and MondoGoal due to their skill alone, but probably don’t make a ton of sense in cash games. Good luck this week everyone!
