The 21st ranked Oregon Ducks (5-0; 0-0 Pac-12) stayed undefeated on the season after defeating the Arkansas State Red Wolves, 91-68, this past Wednesday. Oregon has a 13 point lead at halftime in this one and had 4 players score in double digits in the victory. Oregon shot 46.8% from the field and 27.3% (6-22) from beyond the arc. The Ducks held the Red Wolves to 32.4% shooting from the field and forced Arkansas State into committing 21 turnovers. Leading the way for Oregon was Chris Boucher who had 17 points, 9 rebounds, and 9 blocks. On the season, the Ducks have been led by Tyler Dorsey (15.2 ppg, 4.4 rpg, 3.4 apg), Elgin Cook (12.8 ppg, 5.2 rpg, 2.8 apg), and Chris Boucher (12.4 ppg, 7.6 rpg, 4.2 bpg). Defensively, Oregon is holding their opponents to an average of 62.6 ppg on 38.0% shooting. The Ducks average 6.8 bpg and have a turnover margin of 4.8.
The Bulldogs are 5-1-1 ATS in their last 7 Monday games however, just 1-5 ATS in their last 6 games vs. a team with a winning S.U. record. The Ducks are 8-1 ATS in their last 9 home games and 9-2 ATS in their last 11 games following a S.U. win.
Fresno State has had a great start to their season led by their talented backcourt duo of Marvelle Harris and Cezar Guerrero and a defense that is holding teams to under 40.0% shooting from the field. Oregon has been dominant at home to start the season and also is showing that they can get it done on the defensive end. The Bulldogs are an experienced team that could be one of the better Mountain West teams this season and as I think both defensives will keep this score low, I’m going to take the double-digits points in this one. Take Fresno State and the points.
Fresno State Bulldogs +11.5
