Bills’ bus breaks down on way to Arrowhead Stadium
Most NFL coaches and players are notorious for keeping their routines. On practice days, on game days, each one has his own quirks or superstitions, from players getting their ankles taped by the same trainer every day to eating the same pre-game meal to sitting in the same spot on the same bus to the stadium for road games.
Buffalo Bills players who were taking the first bus to Arrowhead Stadium on Sunday had their routine disrupted slightly when the bus broke down. Defensive lineman Jerry Hughes provided on-bus updates:
The dreaded “check engine” light! Who among us hasn’t ignored that little notifier before, willing it to turn off because the car is running just fine? Only me? Oh. We continue with our story then…
NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport tweeted that players were able to remain on the bus, the driver shifted the bus into manual transmission mode, and was able to deliver the players to Arrowhead. Hopefully players are able to stick to their usual pre-game routines.
