The Daily Dose: Dose: Spurs revisit 'DNP-Old'
I hope you all had a great Thanksgiving and were able to spend time with your family. There were not games on Thursday, so this should be a pretty short and sweet look ahead to Friday’s 12 games. Follow me on Twitter by clicking here.
Hawks @ Grizzlies – Kent Bazemore is listed as questionable for this one due to his ankle injury. Thabo Sefolosha has been playing well in his stead, but will take an obvious hit as soon as Bazemore is back, which could be tonight. Tiago Splitter is out, and Jeff Teague, Kyle Korver and Sefolosha are all probable for this one.
Zach Randolph is questionable with his knee injury and could miss his fifth straight game. Watch for news on Friday afternoon.
Cavs @ Hornets – Matthew Dellavedova is a game-time decision with his calf injury, but with Mo Williams expected to play, Delly’s not a great option.

Bucks @ Magic – C.J. Watson isn’t expected to play tonight due to a calf injury, not that it matters in fantasy. Victor Oladipo says he’s cool with a bench role and is handling his demotion the right way, but if he continues to come off the bench, Scott Skiles is going to come under some fire.
Wizards @ Celtics – Otto Porter will try to break out of a slump tonight and Gary Neal will be looking for his third straight big game. I’m not sure either scenario will happen.
Marcus Smart is still out with his leg injury so look for more good things from Isaiah Thomas and Avery Bradley. A Celtics big man will do nice things tonight, but I have no idea which one it will be.
Heat @ Knicks – Luol Deng missed Wednesday’s game with a hamstring injury and is iffy for Friday. Gerald Green should start again if Deng is out, making Green worth a look in DFS. Amare Stoudemire (illness) has already been ruled out for this one.
Kristaps Porzingis and Jose Calderon will try to stay hot tonight. I love Porzingis, but would be shocked if Calderon comes close to his 23-point performance from Wednesday.
Bulls @ Pacers – Derrick Rose practiced through his sore ankle on Thursday, meaning he should be good to go tonight. Aaron Brooks has already been ruled out with a hamstring injury, so Rose should get plenty of minutes against George Hill and company.
The Pacers are healthy, sans Myles Turner, and I’m interested to see if C.J. Miles and Paul George can stay red-hot against the Bulls.
Sixers @ Rockets – You’ve probably heard that Jahlil Okafor knocked someone out near a bar in Boston on Wednesday night. A suspension could easily be coming tonight and if he’s out, Nerlens Noel could have a big night.
Dwight Howard says he’s ready to play in back-to-backs and plans on playing Friday, Sunday and Monday, which is good news if you own him. Ty Lawson played just three minutes on Wednesday and has fallen out of the rotation, although I doubt he stays out of it for too long.
Pistons @ Thunder – Andre Drummond has double-doubled in all but one game this season (8 points, 13 rebounds) and should be able to keep it going against the Thunder.
Kevin Durant is back and playing well, along with Russell Westbrook, Serge Ibaka, and maybe Dion Waiters.
Spurs @ Nuggets – Tim Duncan and Manu Ginobili didn’t travel for this one, meaning they’re not going to play. Call it a DNP-Old for both of them, and look for Boris Diaw and, hopefully, Danny Green to step up in their absences. That’s a tough two-game stretch for Duncan’s owners, as he had just two points on Wednesday.
Joffrey Lauvergne practiced for the Nuggets and appears to be nearing a return from his back injury. Nikola Jokic’s value should plummet once Lauvergne is back and playing solid minutes for Denver. Kenneth Faried has already been ruled out for Friday due to his ankle injury and it will be his third-straight miss with the injury. J.J. Hickson and Darrell Arthur, along with Jokic, would likely benefit most from his absence.
Warriors @ Suns – The Warriors hope to make it 17-0 against the Suns and they simply look unbeatable right now. Andrew Bogut missed Wednesday’s practice with a sore back, but is expected to play tonight.
Eric Bledsoe appeared to aggravate his knee injury on Wednesday, but no news is good news. My guess is he’s good to go tonight. Tyson Chandler missed Wednesday with an illness, so watch for news about his availability tonight.
Wolves @ Kings – Ricky Rubio, who left Wednesday’s game with a left ankle injury, said he’s hoping to play in this one. If he’s out, Zach LaVine will be an excellent cheap option in DFS.
DeMarcus Cousins is iffy again due to his back injury, while there is talk that the Kings plan on getting Omri Casspi more minutes going forward. He’s worth a look if still available in your league. If Cousins is out, Rudy Gay should beast, while Rajon Rondo is as hot as he’s ever been right now. And Kosta Koufos is very relevant if Cousins is out, while Willie Cauley-Stein’s season of disappointment will likely continue either way.
Pelicans @ Clippers – Tyreke Evans is nearing a return from his knee surgery and appears to be doubtful for tonight. Even if he plays, his minutes would likely be pretty limited over the next few weeks. Ish Smith remains relevant for as long as Evans is out. Anthony Davis was banged around on Wednesday night and was slow to get up a few times, appearing to tweak an ankle, but he should be good to go tonight.
The Clippers are at full strength and Blake Griffin is coming off one of his best games, which still resulted in a loss to the Jazz. Griffin, Chris Paul and DeAndre Jordan should all do nice things tonight against the Pelicans.
