Herbert: Pistons +7.5 over Thunder. Detroit is the kind of team that can scare OKC. Not saying the Pistons will win, but they can stick around and cover.

Harper: Spurs -8.5 over Nuggets: Somehow, the hype of the Warriors and the failures of the Rockers and Clippers have caused the Spurs to fly under the radar. But they’re really clicking and should have an easy blowout on their hands in Denver.

Moore: Grizzlies -3 over Hawks. Just to run you through some things… Memphis is 3-3 as a home favorite, the Hawks are 1-1 as a road dog. Atlanta is 3-7 in their last 10 ATS, Memphis is 6-4. The home team has won four of the last five meetings ATS in this matchup. The Hawks are 2-5 ATS vs. Southwest teams in their last seven. Memphis is 4-1 in their last five following a straight-up win. The Hawks are 0-5 on one day’s rest in their last five. Memphis isn’t much better, but it’s enough to lean me towards Memphis, with how they’ve been playing since the Chalmers trade, and with how inconsistent the Hawks have been.
