Prisco's Week 11 NFL Picks: Cardinals beat Bengals, Packers sack Vikes – CBSSports.com
As many of you told me on Twitter, my picks stunk last week.
Stunk like Peyton Manning last Sunday.
Stunk like that smell you get crossing through parts of New Jersey.
Stunk like Andy Dalton and the Bengals did Monday night.
But it’s a new week, with a lot of interesting games, many that I like. So it’s time to get it going.
It’s a tough week, though, in terms of quarterbacks. Consider the potential group of starters this week: T.J. Yates, Geno Smtih, Case Keenum and Mark Sanchez.
Oh, boy.
Now we know why it’s so tough to pick these games.

Tennessee (2-7) at Jacksonville (3-6)
Thursday, Nov. 19, 8:30 p.m. ET (NFL Network)
This is an important game for the Jaguars, who are one game out of first place in the AFC South. The loser is done. The Jacksonville passing game was off against the Ravens, but I think they get it going here. Jaguars win a shootout with Blake Bortles outdueling Marcus Mariota.
The Pick: Jaguars 28, Titans 23

Dallas Cowboys (2-7) at Miami Dolphins (4-5)
Sunday, Nov. 22, 1 p.m. ET (FOX)
The Cowboys are playing a second straight game in Florida after losing to Tampa Bay last week. They got little going on offense, but Tony Romo is expected back here. Even so, I think Miami will find a way to slow down a rusty Romo and pull this one out.
The Pick: Dolphins 21, Cowboys 10

New York Jets (5-4) at Houston Texans (4-5)
Sunday, Nov. 22, 1 p.m. ET (CBS)
This could be a battle of backup quarterbacks in an important game. That’s not good. Ryan Fitzpatrick had a thumb issue for the Jets with Brian Hoyer having concussion issues for the Texans. Geno Smith against T.J. Yates could be the matchup. I still like the Jets here because of their defense.
The Pick: Jets 17, Texans 13

Tampa Bay (4-5) at Philadelphia (4-5)
Sunday, Nov. 22, 1 p.m. ET (FOX)
The Eagles suffered a bad loss last week to the Dolphins and now must play without Sam Bradford. That means Mark Sanchez is in as the starter. The Bucs have improved on defense, and they are still alive. But it won’t matter here, even with Sanchez playing.
The Pick: Eagles 33, Bucs 21

Washington Redskins (4-5) at Carolina Panthers (9-0)
Sunday, Nov. 22, 1 p.m. ET (FOX)
The Redskins looked good blowing out the Saints last week. But this is a huge step up in terms of competition. The Panthers are rolling. They get all over Kirk Cousins as the Panthers remain undefeated.
The Pick: Panthers 27, Redskins 17

Indianapolis (4-5) at Atlanta (6-3)
Sunday, Nov. 22, 1 p.m. ET (CBS)
Both teams are coming off a bye, but the Colts are doing it without Andrew Luck. That means that Matt Hasselbeck is in as the starter. It will be interesting to see how he plays compared to his first two starts. The Falcons haven’t been great on offense lately, but that changes here.
The Pick: Falcons 27, Colts 17

St. Louis (4-5) at Baltimore (2-7)
Sunday, Nov. 22, 1 p.m. ET (FOX)
The Rams are turning to Case Keenum as the starter, replacing Nick Foles. They had to do something. The Ravens are 2-7 and the season is over, but this is a spot where they can get a victory. And with a good day from Joe Flacco they will.
The Pick: Ravens 20, Rams 13

Denver (7-2) at Chicago (4-5)
Sunday, Nov. 22, 1 p.m. ET (CBS)
This is a chance for Bears coach John Fox and coordinator Adam Gase to get back at their old team after both were let go by the Broncos at the end of last season. Denver has issues on offense and Peyton Manning won’t play this week. That means it’s Brock Osweiler‘s time. I think this is a chance for the Bears to pull off a big upset.
The Pick: Bears 21, Broncos 20
at |
Oakland Raiders (4-5) at Detroit Lions (2-7)
Sunday, Nov. 22, 1 p.m. ET (CBS)
The Lions looked like a different team against Green Bay. Can that carry over? The Raiders didn’t look good against the Vikings, and this is a tough road game. Something says the Lions take it with some more good play by the defense.
The Pick: Lions 23, Raiders 21
at |
Kansas City Chiefs (4-5) at San Diego Chargers (2-7)
Sunday, Nov. 22, 4:05 p.m. ET (CBS)
The Chiefs are playing consecutive road games after beating up on the Broncos, while the Chargers are coming of a bye. The Kansas City defense was really good last week. This time, though, Philip Rivers will have success down the field against them. San Diego takes it.
The Pick: Chargers 28, Chiefs 27
at |
Green Bay (6-3) at Minnesota (7-2)
Sunday, Nov. 22, 4:25 p.m. ET (FOX)
This is a huge game for both teams. If the Vikings really want to stake a claim as the best team in the division, they have to win this game. The Packers are having problems on offense. The Vikings are good on defense. So why do I think Aaron Rodgers and the Packers get it going?
The Pick: Packers 26, Vikings 23

San Francisco 49ers (3-6) at Seattle Seahawks (4-5)
Sunday, Nov. 22, 4:25 p.m. ET (FOX)
The Seahawks are in desperate need of a victory, and this might be one of those games where they take it out on a rival. Blaine Gabbert will face a fierce defense here. The Seahawks will also get the offense going. Seattle takes it.
The Pick: Seahawks 28, 49ers 7
at |
Cincinnati (8-1) at Arizona (7-2)
Sunday, Nov. 22, 8:30 p.m. ET (NBC)
This is a tough turnaround for the Bengals after a bad loss against the Texans Monday night. They just didn’t look good on offense. They will have to score here because the Cardinals will get their points. And they do. Cards take it.
The Pick: Cardinals 33, Bengals 24
at |
Buffalo Bills (5-4) at New England Patriots (9-0)
Monday, Nov. 23, 8:30 p.m. ET (ESPN)
This is a proving game for the Bills. The Patriots blew them out earlier this season, throwing all over the vaunted Rex Ryan defense. This time, Julian Edelman is out, so it might be tougher for the Pats to do that. No, it won’t. Pats take it.
The Pick: Patriots 30, Bills 21
