Dylan Larkin fires tough angle goal off Craig Anderson’s backside (Video)
Detroit Red Wings rookie Dylan Larkin made another play that tried to separate him in the wide-open Calder Trophy race.
In a Monday night game against the Ottawa Senators, Larkin raced around two-time Norris Trophy winning defenseman Erik Karlsson and fired a shot off the butt of goaltender Craig Anderson’s that went into the Ottawa net.

The video of the play by is above. He was slated to play the game with first-line center Pavel Datsyuk.

“I’m excited to have the puck a lot tonight and have a lot of possession, try to get to the net and look for second and third opportunities,” Larkin said.
The 19-year-old Larkin came into the game with 11 points in 17 contests. This ranked sixth amongst first-year players. He was also a plus-11 before the game, tops amongst rookies. That goal was his fifth of the season. The Red Wings selected Larkin with the 15th overall pick in the 2014 NHL Draft.
