Packers’ Eddie Lacy inactive vs. Lions
Green Bay Packers running back Eddie Lacy is among the inactives for Sunday’s early games. Lacy suffered a groin injury against the Panthers last week and was unable to finish the game; he did practice this week, though the PackersHis official status for the Packers’ game against Detroit was questionable.
Lacy’s health may not have mattered much: on Wednesday, Green Bay head coach Mike McCarthy announced that James Starks had supplanted Lacy as the team’s No. 1 running back. Lacy and Starks have gotten almost an equal number of carries thus far this season, with Lacy getting 83 and Starks 78, though Starks has been more effective in his chances (4.3 yards per carry vs. 3.7 YPC).
Green Bay has lost two straight games after starting the season 6-0, and may have the perfect opponent in Detroit to end that skid: the Lions have just one win this year and have not won at Lambeau Field since 1991.
