After seeing Andrelton Simmons traded Thursday and Craig Kimbrel traded Friday, there was no big trade Saturday. There was a trade, just not a blockbuster. Bummer. There’s still plenty of offseason left though, plus the Winter Meetings are only three weeks away. Those are always fun.

Mets: Signed IF Ty Kelly to a minor league contract with an invitation to spring training, the team announced.
Phillies: Acquired RHP Jeremy Hellickson from the Diamondbacks for minor league RHP Sam McWilliams, the team announced.

Padres: Will name Doug Bochtler their new bullpen coach. Bochtler previously worked as a pitching coach in in Arizona’s farm system. (San Diego Union Tribune)

Reds: GM Dick Williams confirmed the Red Sox inquired about LHP Aroldis Chapman before acquiring RHP Craig Kimbrel Friday. A deal was never close, however. (WCPO)
Rockies: GM Jeff Bridich is open to trading prospects for pitching. “When I say we’re open to whatever, I mean it,” said Bridich. “I don’t think we’ll ever be in a ‘sell the farm’ mode. I don’t think that’s a wise decision for us. But you have to be open minded to things that can improve your ballclub.” (Denver Post)
