2015 NFL picks against the spread: Week 10 – Revenge of the Birds
Well, I am back with my Week 10 picks against the Vegas spread. However, It isn’t like i am setting the world on fire. Week 9 was pretty bad for straight up picks. Against the spread, I was a sad 6-7. That puts me at 70-59-3. That’s very average. So take my advice with a grain of salt I guess, or just flip a coin. It seems to go just as well.
I started the week with a loss, as I picked the Jets. Whoops.
Now for the other games:
Lions at Packers (-11.5): while Green Bay has struggled, this is perfect week to get better. Plus, they return home and play a bad Lions team. Any other week I take the points, but this week I like the Packers to roll. Packers -11.5.
Panther (-4.5) at Titans: Yes, the Titans got an overtime win in their first game after firing Ken Whisenhunt. But the Panthers defense is SOOOO much better than New Orleans’. The Titans come back to earth. Panthers -4.5.
Bears at Rams (-7): The Bears come off a short week, having played on Monday Night Football, and the Rams come off a loss. The Chicago defense isn’t that good and Todd Gurley has been killing out, except last week against the Vikings. I still like the Rams here. Rams -7.
Dolphins at Eagles (-6): With no Cameron Wake, the Dolphins came back to earth. The Dan Campbell effect is apparently over. Back to being a bad team. The Eagles aren’t necessarily good, but I don’t see how they don’t cover here. Eagles -6.
Browns at Steelers (-4.5): For two straight weeks, the Browns look competitive for a half and then fall apart. The Steelers are not on the same level as the Cardinals or the Bengals, but they are still the Browns. Even with Landry Jones, I see a Steelers win. Steelers -4.5.
Cowboys at Buccaneers (-1): No reason to think this, but I think the Cowboys finally break through and get a win without Tony Romo. Cowboys +1.
Saints (-1) at Redskins: I don’t know why, but the Saints just keep fooling me. I finally think they have it figured out and then they go and lose to the Titans. But if I have to pick Drew Brees or Kirk Cousins, it’s still easy. Saints -1.
Jaguars at Ravens (-5.5): Blake Bortles is playing well. But Oddsshark isn’t even tracking bets for this game. I wouldn’t bet it. If I have to pick, it would be the Ravens. Ravens -5.5
Vikings at Raiders (-3): Teddy Bridgewater is expected to play on Sunday, but the Raiders are playing very well. I like the home team. Raiders -3.
Chiefs at Broncos (-6): Denver finally lost and maybe they were exposed, but when the Chiefs come to town, things will get better. The Broncos will be without Aqib Talib, but it won’t matter, as the Chiefs don’t throw the ball down the field anyway. Broncos -6
Patriots (-7.5) at Giants: I haven’t been betting against Tom Brady. While this is on the road. I’m not going to stop. Pats -7.5
Cardinals at Seahawks (-2.5): Big game. Seattle has given up 27 points or more in their four losses. Arizona has only been held to less than 30 points three times. They move the ball with the best of them. The big question is can they take care of the football in Seattle. Seattle, like Arizona, hasn’t beaten anybody good. But Arizona’s wins are much more convincing. Cardinals +2.5.
Texans at Bengals (-11.5): Easy pick. Bengals -11.5.
