Yoenis Cespedes’ new car is both ridiculous and awesome
New York Mets outfielder Yoenis Cespedes is just weeks away from making over $100 million on the free-agent market. While he doesn’t have that money just yet, Cespedes may have treated himself to a little gift in anticipation of his next payday.
Cespedes, who has shown an affinity for cars in the past, has splurged on an automobile once again. If you thought a fire-breathing Lamborghini was cool, check out Cespedes’ latest purchase.
They might call Cespedes’ recent teammate Matt Harvey “The Dark Knight,” but it’s Cespedes who owns the Batmobile.
We aren’t entirely sure how to respond to that monstrosity. We’re baseball people, not car people. But, is that thing street legal? It’s got three wheels!
The car in question is called a Polaris. It doesn’t cost a ton on it’s own, but Cespedes obviously made a number of upgrades here.
Cespedes was able to purchase those two items before getting paid big money on the free-agent market. We can’t wait to see what he comes up with next offseason, when he has substantially more money to play with. In “The Dark Knight Rises” Batman finally got a flying vehicle called the Bat. That seems like the logical next step for Cespedes here.
