Pens' Dupuis scores quickly in first game back
Last Friday, Pascal Dupuis was taken to an Edmonton hospital as a precaution due to some concerns tied to his history with blood clots. Dupuis missed the Pittsburgh Penguins’ game that night and the next one, despite all of his tests coming back negative.
He was cleared to play Wednesday night against the Montreal Canadiens and the Quebec native wasted no time in making an impact on the game. Dupuis scored just 13 seconds into the game against the league’s top team.
That pass though. 13 seconds in. #MTLvsPIT https://t.co/wI4doRaDYd

The goal came off of a ridiculously smooth feed from Sidney Crosby, who put the puck right on Dupuis’ tape through some heavy traffic for a redirection. Montreal goalie Mike Condon never stood a chance to stop that one.
Given Dupuis’ health history and his most recent health scare, it was a huge relief that tests cleared him of any lingering issues. For Dupuis to come out and make an instant impact in his first game back may have been a way of letting everyone know he’s going to be just fine.
