BEST BETS
Harper: Hornets (-2.5) at Timberwolves: The Wolves just lost a 34-point lead in Atlanta before fighting back to secure the road victory, but they have a couple things working against them. They used up a lot of energy in a second half when they should’ve been coasting. They’ll be on the second night of a back-to-back, traveling to the next game. Yes, they’re at home but the Hornets have been waiting for them in Minneapolis since Sunday. Wolves are 0-2 ATS at home. Take the Hornets.
Pandian: Thunder (-4.5) over Wizards: The Wizards are good but without Bradley Beal, John Wall may be stuck doing too much. Wall can handle the added responsibility and keep the Wizards within striking distance however Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook will just be too much for Washington.
Herbert: Cavaliers (-5.5) over Jazz. There has been much more good than bad from Utah in its first six games, but I’m not ready to trust this team on the road against Cleveland. The Cavaliers have let lesser teams hang with them recently, and they’re going to be focused on breaking that habit.
