Nets' Lopez exits with sore foot; X-rays negative
Brooklyn Nets center Brook Lopez left Saturday night’s 94-86 loss in Milwaukee with a sore right foot. X-rays were negative, according to the team.
It is unknown whether there will be any further testing, according to the New York Post.
Lopez has undergone three surgeries on his right foot in an 18-month span. Last season, he suffered a right mid-foot sprain that caused him to miss the first two games of the 2014-15 campaign.
Lopez played 39 minutes on Friday night, then played 29 minutes on Saturday night before checking out of the game with 40 seconds left in the third quarter. He appeared frustrated on the bench before heading to the locker room. He finished with 20 points.
Nets general manager Billy King had said there would be no minutes restrictions on Lopez before the start of the season.
Lopez, 27, re-signed with the Nets over the summer for three years, $63.4 million.
Brooklyn has an 0-7 record and owes its unprotected 2016 first-round pick to the Boston Celtics.
