Andrei Markov can’t verbalize feelings, fires puck into Bruins bench (Video)
The rivalry between the Boston Bruins and Montreal Canadiens over the past season or two has been less blood thirsty and more passive aggressive.
But as the great LeVar Burton once said, “You don’t have to take my word for it.” Check out Andrei Markov in Saturday night’s tilt, via Stanley Cup of Chowder:
Yeah… that’s Markov firing a slap shot into the Bruins bench after the whistle. Looks like someone has difficulty expressing his feelings appropriately.
Markov is angry about receiving a penalty for tripping Colin Miller. Upon closer inspection, you can see why Markov is frustrated. Miller hits the deck as he’s snared by the invisible sniper after passing by Markov’s blade.
No penalty for embellishment was assessed on Miller, nor did Markov receive an additional penalty. With the way this season is going, who knows if the Department of Player Safety will review the shot into the bench for supplemental discipline. Luckily, no one was hurt, but it could have been much worse.
