Missouri scores first touchdown in more than a month (Video)
There hasn’t been a lot to cheer about when it comes to Missouri football this season, but at least the Tigers can celebrate the end of their offensive touchdown drought.
After 47 consecutive possessions without a touchdown — and 33 long days — running back Russell Hansbrough weaved his way through a group of Mississippi State defenders to find the end zone late in the second quarter.
It was Missouri’s first touchdown in 226 minutes and 46 seconds dating back to the fourth quarter against South Carolina on Oct. 3.
Missouri’s touchdown-less drought spanned three games and 14 quarters and was the first time Missouri had gone three consecutive games without a touchdown since 1937.
