Jason Pierre-Paul trying out creepy-looking four-fingered glove (Photo)
Coming to a sporting goods store near you?
Not likely. But Jason Pierre-Paul might be the first football player to wear this new edition of a custom glove, and admit it: it’s a little fascinating to look at it, courtesy of ESPN. In fact, we can’t stop staring at it.
As you likely know, JPP lost part of his hand in a July 4 weekend fireworks accident, and he could make his return to the field — improbably — this weekend at the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, not far from where the accident occured. So he needs a glove for the hand.

There have been a lot of famous people with missing digits, from Jerry Garcia to Telly Savalas, whose work was not affected by it. But other than former Chicago Cubs pitcher Mordecai “Three Finger” Brown, we can’t think of too many who required a glove to do their handiwork (and Brown wore his on the good hand).
The fact that Pierre-Paul is even able to play is amazing — just ask Chubbs Peterson. And if he needs this strange-looking glove to thrive, well then so be it.
There might not be a huge market for four-fingered gloves out there, but we might consider buying one for its sheer weirdness.
