Jake Allen makes gorgeous glove save on Anze Kopitar (Video)
Los Angeles Kings forward Anze Kopitar probably thought he had a sure goal on St. Louis Blues goaltender Jake Allen.
The net was wide open and Kopitar flicked his wrist as Allen scampered to his left and stuck out his glove as a last-ditch effort to catch the puck.

Allen just barely got the leather on the puck to make a gorgeous glove save in the above video.
This elicited quite the reaction from Kopitar:
Even though Los Angeles has won seven of their last eight games, Kopitar has been a little snakebit on the year. He has just four goals in 11 games. Meanwhile, going into Tuesday’s game, Allen had a 1.98 goal-against average and .929 save percentage.
Kopitar left the game after sustaining an “upper body injury.” It’s unclear when the play happened, though it could have occurred on the below play by Ryan Reaves.
Kopitar is in the last season of a seven-year $47.6 million contract. He has yet to sign a new deal with Los Angeles and can become an unrestricted free agent on July 1.
